Steve Shavitz first made a name for himself in Triad real estate working with his current Deep River partner, Lowell Easter, at Easter and Eisenman in the early 1990s recruiting business to the successful Piedmont Centre, a 1,200-acre corporate park in High Point, N.C.
Steve’s passion is in guiding corporate and individual clients through the varied aspects of the real estate development and acquisition process. He is well respected for his deep understanding of the financial nuances of the development business and asset management. His clients and Deep River partners regularly turn to Steve for his skills in real estate investing and financial structuring. Steve’s keen eye for the bottom line allows him to see the viability of a project early and he has a talent for finding untapped value – the overlooked financing option, that slight tweak of the deal, the unlisted property.
While Steve loves his work, he is an equally passionate supporter of his community. He has served on the board of trustees for the Greensboro Children’s Museum, Blumenthal Foundation for Senior Services, and the Greensboro Jewish Federation, of which he is the immediate past president and a former campaign chair. He has two adult sons and loves music and sports in his free time.
