Steen Spove has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate development, brokerage, management and leasing. After several years in commercial banking, Steen joined the predecessors to Deep River Partners focusing on site selection, tenant representation and development across the southeast. Steen’s areas of expertise include commercial site selection, build-to-suit development, lease negotiation, entitlement, investment returns, financing and deal management. Tenant clients include IHOP, Krispy Kreme, ALDI, Arby’s, Verizon, Advance Auto among others. Property types cover single tenant and small multi-tenant development along with larger shopping center projects.
Business development is a focus of Steen’s. His empathetic approach allows him to truly internalize his clients’ goals and enables him to effectively negotiate for their benefit whether they are a national retailer or a mom and pop restaurant. As a result of his experience and understanding of commercial development, Steen has also been able to benefit his investor clients with sourcing and analysis of investment property purchases. Whether to satisfy a 1031 exchange need or as part of an overall investment strategy, he is able to identify superior properties. Because of his honesty and insight, Steen has earned the trust of a broad network of professionals, investors and organizations within each of those areas, which he uses to minimize risk and maximize outcomes for clients.
