Gil Bankston, CSM is the President and CEO of Deep River Commercial Property Management “DRCPM”. Gil oversees a team of 7 property management professionals and support staff for roughly 3 million square feet of office, industrial, retail and flex assignments. He provides the strategic direction for the company’s property management department, while ensuring the delivery of quality service to clients.

Gil has over twenty years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and assumed the role as President of DRCPM in February 2024. Prior to joining DRCPM, Gil held a key leadership role in CBRE|Triad and CBRE|Raleigh overseeing a portfolio of over 14 million square feet, including roughly 130 properties between Raleigh and Triad. Gil’s commercial property management experience includes extensive shopping center, general asset management, tenant construction, financial management and accounting in New York, New Jersey, Florida and North Carolina markets. In addition, Gil’s diverse background includes key management positions at General Growth Properties, Simon Property Group, and Levin Management.

Gil is a Certified Property Manager having received his designation in 2014 from the International Council of Shopping Centers “ICSC”. Gil serves on the Board of Directors of the Central and Northwest North Carolina Better Business Bureau “BBB”. He previously held a Board position on the NY/NJ Council of Shopping Centers as well. He is an active member in the Institute of Real Estate Management “IREM”, National Association for Industrial and Office Parks “NAIOP”, and International Council of Shopping Centers “ICSC”.
